Biopack-Nut

Biopack-Nut systems offer eco-friendly and highly efficient solutions by optimizing biological nutrient removal (nitrogen and phosphorus) in wastewater treatment.

Nutrient Control is Now Possible with Yeditepe Arıtım

Nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus, which cause algae growth in lakes, rivers, and groundwater, can pose serious environmental threats if not treated properly. The Biopack-Nut system is equipped with special phases that target these pollutants. Designed by Yeditepe Arıtım engineering, this system effectively reduces the nutrient load in both domestic and industrial wastewater.

Advanced Phase-Based Nutrient Removal

Biopack-Nut includes nitrification-denitrification phases for nitrogen removal and biological phosphorus removal phases for phosphorus elimination. The process is optimized by regulating microorganisms’ access to oxygen and carbon sources. This allows nitrogen and phosphorus in the water to be naturally minimized while reducing the need for chemical use.

Applications Where Biopack-Nut Systems Are Preferred

Biopack-Nut is widely used in nature conservation areas, facilities near wetlands, drinking water basins, and agricultural zones. It can also be integrated into municipal systems that require advanced biological treatment to significantly improve effluent water quality. It is a reliable choice for environmentally sensitive protection projects requiring high precision.

System Balance and Continuous Performance

The Biopack-Nut system is equipped with an intelligent control unit that optimizes the timing of various treatment phases. The biological sludge formed during the process is automatically balanced, keeping the system stable. It can adapt to seasonal flow variations without compromising treatment efficiency. This structure ensures maximum results with minimum intervention.

How Biopack-Nut Works with Yeditepe Arıtım

The Biopack-Nut system is structured with special phases to provide biological removal of nitrogen and phosphorus. Here are the main steps of the system:

Inlet and Homogenization
After wastewater enters the system, it is transferred to a homogenization tank to form a balanced composition. This ensures consistency throughout the treatment process.
Nitrification/Denitrification Reactor
In the first biological phase, ammonia is oxidized into nitrate (nitrification), then in an oxygen-free environment, nitrate is converted into nitrogen gas and removed (denitrification).
Biological Phosphorus Removal
Through anaerobic and aerobic phases where phosphorus-accumulating bacteria are activated, phosphorus is stored in biomass and removed from the system with the sludge.
Settling and Controlled Discharge
Water that has passed through biological processes is directed to the final sedimentation tank. The clear water is discharged from the surface in a controlled manner, while the sludge is recirculated back into the system.

Biopack-Nut not only purifies wastewater but also protects the future. By targeting pollutants like nitrogen and phosphorus, it contributes to the creation of sustainable living spaces. With advanced automation, energy efficiency, and low sludge production, it is a solution that protects both the environment and operational efficiency.
